Tumors can be seen frequently in elderly pets. In young animals it is rare. A neoplasia is not always malignant. An accurate diagnosis is important to find the right way to deal with the problem. Many tumors can be removed in our practice. Every removed tissue is sent to a specialist lab where a pathologist gives us the exact character of the tumor.
The further plan of treatment is depending on these findings. An operation may be the gold standard or in some cases we might refer your pet to the AOI Center in Hünenberg which is specialized in cancer treatment including medical therapy and radiation.
